Vintage shoes

Friday, November 12, 2010
Happy Friday everyone!  I have some more Etsy finds for you guys: vintage shoes!  I've never had anything against used clothing, but have always had my reservations when it comes to shoes.  These vintage shoes are so cute it could change my mind.  Click here to see all the shoes she has for sale.  Some of my favorites that happen to be my size...  Kevin are you reading?  Never too early to start Christmas shopping :)

size 7.5 taupe vegan nonleather round toe oxford pumps. 70s granny heels.

size 7.5 honey dijon leather low heeled pumps. 80s Copley Square. cut out details at ankle. mustard. yellow. made in Brazil.

size 7.5 toffee leather woven slice details feminine pumps. 80s Laces with stacked wood heels. made in Brazil.

Cute as a button

Kevin's been hogging the computer lately working on stuff for his MBA classes.  "Babe, what's more important, homework or blogging?"  :)  I still managed to sneak in a little Etsy browsing.  I love these earrings for sale on Etsy by Babbling Brooks.  So fun and pretty.

Urban Outfitters

Monday, November 8, 2010
Found some great stuff this weekend on the sales rack at Urban Outfitters.  A pair of jeans for Kevin, and for me a cute pair of boat shoes, white frilly vest, a super comfy sweatshirt, and a dress with stars on it that can also be worn as a shirt, for a grand total of less than $100.  I also saw some things I had previously paid full price for on the sales rack, don't you hate it when that happens?  From now on, I'm determined to be exclusively a sales rack shopper!

Muchos gracias to my new and wonderful in-laws for their generous birthday present of a gift card to Urban Outfitters.

Etsy Love

So I am in love with Etsy....

If you have not yet had the pleasure of being introduced to Etsy, don't delay.  Leave this blog immediately and go there now!  I was trying to think of a way to describe the awesomeness of Etsy (yes awesomeness), and I was at a loss for words.   Thank you to the wonderful Wikipedia contributor who perfectly described Etsy:

"It's a craft cross between Amazon, EBay, and your Grandma's basement"  :)

Oh, and if you want to use a free program to make your very own custom collage (like the one above), check out PhotoScape.com.  Here's how you do it:

  1. Download PhotoScape for free here.
  2. Click "page"
  3. Select a collage type by clicking on a collage on the right
  4. Select folder and photo from the left-hand side of the page.
  5. Click and drag into the collage.
  6. Save - and that's it!  Your very own custom collage
Here are some pictures.  Want more info?  Here's a quick video.

Halloween costumes

Tuesday, October 12, 2010
So it's almost Halloween, which means Halloween costumes!  I hope we get some trick-or-treaters at our condo this year.

The black hole that is my purse

Sunday, October 10, 2010
I love my big mustard yellow purse, but there's one major problem with having such a big purse.  I can never find anything inside it!  To make matters worse the lining inside the purse has recently torn so small important things (like cell phones and keys!) can slip under the lining, making it even harder to find!

I saw this homemade purse on Etsy for $55.  Look at all those nifty pockets!  I love the dual straps and teal color.

Beautiful homemade dresses on Etsy

Thursday, September 30, 2010
So how cute (and best of all cheap!) are these beautiful dresses from Etsy?  Why do I ever buy a dress at Banana Republic or Von Maur?

Grecian Romantic Rosette Woven Goddess Dreamy White Chiffon Dress.

ModCloth, where have you been all my life?
